If you were brave enough to apologize after someone called out something you know you did wrong, don’t fuck it up by adding, “yeah but…” in your very next statement. Like uwu, you just took a HUGE step forward and recognized a problematic thing you did & apologized for it. Don’t take two giant steps backwards by then saying something like, “Well I was wrong, BUT…”

I understand everything isn’t always black & white, and often whatever prompted an apology might be a complex issue, but when you apologize and then continue to justify your problematic behavior, it shows your “apology” was inauthentic.
